The Piggie Palace

This is where the action happens! All but one of the guinea pigs live in the Piggie Palace and all the breeding and births happen here too! The shed is fitted with cctv observation cameras which are linked to a screen in the house so that they can be monitered at any time.

There are electrical points and electrical lighting and they have an opening window with curtains. We have air vents to help provide abit of air circulation and there is also an alarm system installed, due to burglaries in our garden previously. I am working on the door sign still but when finished it will be a piece of smooth slate with 'Piggie Palace' painted on and a ceramic red dutch guinea pig in the centre.

A pen area is currently being built so that they can live in a bigger area and in larger groups, because currently they are housed in the indoor cages.
